Business Safety Week 2016

UK Business Safety Week 2016

Information for Businesses

Fire and Rescue Services across the country will be taking part in UK Business Safety Week 2016, which will run from 5th - 11th September 2016.

The key objective of the week is to highlight the help and support that is available to businesses from their local fire and rescue service. The aim is to reduce the number of enforcement notices delivered to businesses and encourage them to make fire safety an everyday part of working life so employees can respond safely and appropriately in the event of an incident.

County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service will ask businesses to:

  • Work with us to ensure their premises are safe and that they update assessments and procedures in response to changes in the business
  • Help us reduce the number of false alarms which drain time and resources
  • Help protect themselves from arson
  • Make sure they share fire safety information with their staff

We would like to invite you to join in with the UK Business Safety Week in your organisation. We hope that working together, we can help you reduce your risk to fire, protecting your staff, buildings and resources.
