Publication Scheme

The purpose of the publication scheme is to make sure that a significant amount of information is available, without the need for a specific request. The scheme sets out the classes of information that the authority publishes or intends to publish and specifies how it can be accessed, thereby saving your time and effort.

What about Information NOT listed in the Publication Scheme?

From January 2005 you have the right to request any information we hold, even if it is not available under the publication scheme. There may be a charge for some information but it is the authorities’ intention to supply the majority of information free of charge where possible.

We aim to provide any information which you request. If we do not provide the information, we will explain the reasons why (e.g. the provision of information would compromise national security, or infringe the Data Protection Act etc).
