County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority provide a Fire and Rescue Service which aims to protect life and property and offers a comprehensive range of community safety services.

Transparency - Open Decision Making and Accountability

As a locally accountable Fire and Rescue Service, we aim to be transparent in everything we do. Our documents are prepared in accordance with statutory requirements and we publish details of all our expenditure over £500 on the website in our transparency reports.  We hold meetings with the public to discuss our budget plans for the future and we publish all of our plans and statutory consultations on-line.  Our Fire Authority meetings are open to the public and our Combined Fire Authority agenda’s and reports are available on line here.
