Health & Safety Our Health and Safety Statement of Intent We recognise and accept our responsibilities for the health, safety and welfare at work of employees and those who may affected by their operations and activities. Health and Safety is given a high priority and everything, as far as is reasonably practicable, is done to:
- Provide and maintain safe plant equipment and systems of work;
- Make safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transportation of our articles and equipment;
- Provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees;
- Make adequate arrangements for the welfare of employees;
- Provide safe access to, and from, premises under our control;
- Ensure significant risks are assessed;
- Ensure appropriate protective clothing is provided, used and maintained;
- Consult and discuss with staff representatives with a view to the making and maintenance of arrangements which will enable effective co-operation in promoting and developing measures to ensure the health and safety at work of employees, and in checking the effectiveness of such measures; and
- Endeavour to secure the co-operation of all concerned to achieve the highest possible standards in all aspects of Health and Safety at Work.
