History and Background
The Station is located in the Dawdon area of Seaham on the north east coast of the County. It provides cover for Seaham, Murton and surrounding villages including the A19 trunk road.
The Station is strategically placed to provide cover for a number of large organisations within the area. These include: the Port of Seaham; Northumbrian Water Treatment Works; Pride Valley Foods; and Seaham Hall Hotel and Spa.
