Eligible applicants must be aged 17 or older before September 14th, 2020.
Should your initial application be successful you will be invited to participate in further stages of the recruitment process. Please note you must be successful at each stage to progress.
The recruitment stages are as follows:
- Initial registration and application
- Online situational judgement and behaviour assessments
- Online ability tests in verbal, numerical and mechanical reasoning
- Role related, practical assessments
- Interview and presentation
- Fitness tests, medical assessment, references and security check

Successful apprentices will follow a tailored and structured training programme covering business fire safety and operational firefighting apprenticeship standards. If successful you will receive the national minimum wage for apprenticeships in year 1 which will increase to national minimum wage from year 2. If you are successful in achieving pre-set milestones and progress accordingly, national firefighter wages will apply.
